By the way, like you, I grew up in Ohio (Canton - Kent State Grad), and lived in Virginia a year and a half (Petersburg-Ft Lee) before I went over seas while in the Army. I too thought Virginia was simply beautifiul. On weekends, we used to hang out around RPI (Richmond Professional Institute) in the coffee houses and bars that surround the college.
