I didn't have reason to write the follow-up to this (it supposed to be satire), but what basically happened after is the military was willing to let him sit behind a desk for the next 3 years until he retires, if he just kept his mouth shut. He refused, fully knowing he would not only be thrown out of the servie, but also lose ALL his pension (and probably his wife and family too). He said he didn't care and thern proceded to make more threats.
