On a serious note, I believe Cruz is simply an opportunist, while Trump is capable of almost anything - no matter how horrendous it may be. That said, he's not someone who would go out of his way to pick on some innocent, but cross him, or belittle him, and he'll do whatever he feels he can get away with. He has absolutely no sense of guilt or right and wrong.
