Virtually all my family fought against the fascists in North Africa - and a few in the Pacific Front. You wonder, how did we ever get to this? That said, before the war (WW II), there were "lots of folks" (some quite prominent) who openly supported the Nazis. Their support for Hitler and Mussolini only stopped when we actually entered the war. Its also funny how after they war, Republicans attacked so-called "communist sympathizers," but gave all those folks who supported the Nazis a clean bill of health.
